June’s Gratitude.
With my girlfriends visiting from Canada & starting a new job, the last couple of weeks have been a complete whirlwind. It quickly reminded of the importance in taking the time to reflect and be grateful amidst the chaos.
June 2018
Great workout at MADabolic. Raising Your Vibe book & recognizing that I’m not alone on this journey. Hydrafacial & no more peach fuzz with derma-planing. Catching my favorite color of the night sky at just the right moment.
A lovely little nap. Interview for a remote management position.
Great barbell workout at Onnit. Seeing the lovely ladies in class! Female empowerment. Not making the excuse to bail on a girls dinner.
Trying out a new workout at F-45. And it kicking my ass!
Kayaking on the river w/ Dora. Finding the good in Barton Springs being closed!
70s road trip playlist. Stories from my Nana. Seeing my dad’s military marker. Fire side chats & laughter.
Yummy brunch at Hays City Store. Time to read in the hammock. Water paddle game. That I still have an ass cheek after M paddle spanked it. Naps. Lazy Sundays.
Views from the night drive with the top down. Sushi dinner @ Tomo.
Sitting next to the sweetest old man on the flight. For him giving me his member referral card for the magic castle. For being able to feel the love he had for his wife, who passed away to breast cancer. Him telling me to take care of myself.
California time. Starting day with avocado toast & yoga. Perfect weather. Reflection time. Giggles with Keary. My new ‘do.
Lazy Sundays. Backgammon sessions.
Having my Canadian girls in Texas! Gorgeous sunset over Lake Travis. Silly pics. Spazmatics – both my dancing and the band. Dancing to the 80s with the ladies!
Seeing people hug and cry during a citizenship swearing in ceremony.
Dallas night out. Feeling pretty. Dressing up for once. Laughter and dancing with the ladies.
Landing the new job.
Being able to surprise Alex with awesome concert seats for The Eagles. Tequila on the rocks. Hearing Seven Bridges Road live. Feeling my dad’s energy during the song.
Lake time with girls. Meeting new, witty people. Refreshing dip in the water. A much needed relationship conversation. Vulnerability. Being called someone’s home.
