Cultivate Clarity, Connection, & Confidence Through Rituals
The past couple of weeks have demonstrated the importance of my mindset and implementing rituals. Consistently showing up for myself has cultivated a deeper sense of awareness, connection, & confidence.
Through this routine, I awaken and clear my mind, instill strength into my body, & align my soul with its purpose.
My Morning Routine:
1. Gratitude. I wake up & immediately go into a sense of gratefulness. I write down what I’m grateful for, creating a sense of appreciation for what is along with an eagerness for what’s to come. I also make the switch from got to do to get to do. This little mind trick helps me set a tone of appreciation for the day.
2. Drink water. I close my eyes as I’m hydrating and like to think I’m watering the seeds of my mind. I visualize my desired outcome, truly living and feeling from the end even if it’s not true in my current reality.
3. Stillness. I use Insight app and set a timer to meditate. Not gonna lie, sometimes I look down at my timer and think, damn, only two minutes have passed?! But, with repetition, this gets easier. It’s amazing how clear my mind feels after this process!
4. Movement. I love to go to yoga or a HIIT class, but if I’m pressed on time, I’ll bust out some sun salutations or squats. This helps tell my body that it’s capable of performing the aligned action I want to take that day.
Showing up for myself helped develop a belief in myself. And how could I expect anyone else to show up for me if I’m not doing it for myself every day?
